Did you know you can maximize a candle's life span?
Soy wax has a memory, so the first burn is important. After lighting, let the melt pool reach the edges of the container before extinguishing; this can take up to 3 hours depending on the size of your candle. Doing this ensures a more even burn throughout the life of the candle, prevents tunneling, and provides the best scent throw.
How do I get the best burn?
Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each burn. This encourages an even melt pool and minimizes smoking.
What is the ideal burn time for my candle?
Suggested burn times for each of my candles:
- Tumblers: 3-4 hours
- Tins: 1.5 - 2 hours
As always, do not leave a burning candle unattended, and keep out of reach of children, pets, and drafts.
